Summary
For the 2025 Boston Marathon, we were looking to further authenticate the UA brand through the experience of our athletes, both elite and non-elite. We created social-first content to engage our community on social and share how our brand supports athletes of all levels.

Content Strategy + Co-Creative Direction
We created both lead-in and post-race content to celebrate UA Pro Runner and 2024 Boston Marathon runner up, Sharon Lokedi. We posted 5 IG Reels ahead of the race that leaned into trending themes to promote her return to the Boston Marathon. We were prepared with a celebratory graphic in the event that she won, which she did! We posted that in real time and had a photo & video team on the ground to shoot some additional content with her in the hours and days following the race.

The 5-9 is a series where we went behind the scenes with dedicated runners balancing their passion for running and training with the commitments of everyday life. We chose to highlight athletes preparing for the 2025 Boston Marathon to build excitement in the lead up to race day and share the journey of the everyday runner.
